June Wrap-Up; July TBR

June is over ALREADY?! Where even does the time go.

We’re in July, y’all! This is going to be the busiest month for me, personally. Well, August might be even more-so, but still. This is my last month in Michigan & that is…a terrifying thought. I’ve lived here for about 23+ years. I grew up here. My family & friends are here. But I’m not sure if my future is here. And that’s why we’re moving to Texas, my husband & I. It’s a big move, but it’s gotta happen.

You regret 100% of the risks you don’t take. So here we go.

In regards to reading, July may be the lightest month for me. I gave myself a small TBR for June to get through since I wasn’t sure what kind of time I’d have, & I think
I’m going to do the same for July. Maybe even August! We’ll see.

Let’s start with how June went, shall we?

Completed:

The Raven King by Maggie Stiefvater: 5/5 Stars
Welcome to Night Vale by Joseph Fink & Jeffrey Cranor: 4/5 Stars
Invader Zim (Vol 1) by Jhonen Vasquez:  4/5 Stars
The Cresswell Plot by Eliza Wass: 4/5 Stars

Check out all those books! My TBR & then some! Huzzah!!

Started:

Since You’ve Been Gone by Morgan Matson: p60 (12%)

Progress:

Clockwork Angel by Cassandra Clare: 47%
Six of Crows by Leigh Bardugo: p185 (39%)

Six of Crows was an “if I can” part of my June tbr so I’m not upset that I didn’t finish it in time. I am loving it though. Definitely will be completing it in July!

What I’m going to read in July!

Another month, another small tbr.

We’re gonna finish the books I started/made progress on in June, of course. But I am only adding one other book to the list.

Blythewood by Carol Goodman:  This is a book I borrowed from my mother, so I HAVE to read it before we move. I want to be able to give it back to her completed instead of unfinished. I couldn’t live with myself!

Ok, we’ll also add a Just in Case selection: Extraordinary Means by Robyn Schneider
I have it in hardcover & it’s one of the only few books I have that have not been packed into boxes. So, since it’s here, if I finish the others on my list, I’ll read it. It sounds cute.

There you have it! What went down, what might go down, stuff and things…

Getting back in the blogging game. Killing reading slumps with weird books that I read in a day. Watching my husband pack up our entire apartment. So much happening in June, I can’t even imagine what July & August are gonna look like.

Guess we’re about to find out!

  1. Definitely going to be sending lots of positive vibes your way in regards to moving. I can’t imagine how scary it must be. I hope everything goes how you want it though ♥

I’m still not over The Raven King. I really want to read Welcome to Night Vale, Invader Zim and The Cresswell Plot so I’m glad you enjoyed those!! I need to start Six of Crows too, but I’m still not sure if I want to read The Grisha trilogy first because I get confused very easily 😂
