Hello, fellow book nerds! Do I have a treat for you today. I have decided to take part in my SECOND EVER readathon/book challenge!
May I introduce to you, #TheReadingQuest, hosted by the wonderful Aentee @ ReadAtMidnight!! This challenge is a video game based one in which you pick your character class, complete their main quests, collect experience, HP, & MORE!! And if any of you have been following me for more than a second, you might know that the things I enjoy as much as books are video games. This is right up my alley!!
#TheReadingQuest runs from August 13th to September 10th (Sunday to Sunday) & each class has 5 main quests to complete in that time, as well as TONS of side quests to rack up extra points! (That’s right, an entire MONTH of reading. Ah yis!)

But what books will I choose to complete these 5 main quests, you ask? Well, let’s just see, shall we??
The First Book of a Series: The Adventures of Alan Shaw by Craig Hallam
A Book With a Verb in its Title: The First Time She Drowned by Kerry Kletter
A Book With a Weapon on its Cover: Phoenix Rising by Pip Ballantine & Tee Morris
A Book With a Red Cover: Twisted River by Siobhán MacDonald
A Book That Has a TV/Movie Adaptation: The Lovely Bones by Alice Sebold
There you have it! I have my main TBR ready to go, I’ve got my character & quests all lined up. I am PREPARED!! I will also be sure to post an update at the end of the Quest with all the experience, HP, & level totals so you can see how I faired! (I promise) I will also update as I gain over on my twitter account if you’d like/can’t wait that long!
I know it’s a whole month, but I’m not sure how fast I’ll be able to read anything, so hopefully I can complete the mains so I can do some side quests. Unlike when I play video games, I am actually going to complete my main objectives BEFORE I attempt any side missions.
I know, weird, right???

I am so excited to be doing this. I just know it’s gonna be fun AND I’m finally reading books that have been on my shelves for an ETERNITY.

I know I really liked the movie so I imagine imma love the book. It’s gonna be sad I just know it. OH SUSIE!! 😭

Oooooh Lovely Bones! I loved this book but I also read it like 10 years ago (man I feel old *cries*) I hope you enjoy it! I haven’t read anything else on your list but they all sound great 😀

I’ve been wanting to read it for forever (mostly after the movie came out cuz I didn’t know it was a book til then, oopsies lol) I don’t see me not enjoying it! I do see it making me cry tho. Oh I’m prolly gonna cry. Even if I don’t get to it during the Quest, imma still read it after the others. 😀
